This is for those of you who see the pictures & wonder what the whole plan looks like! This is the main floor. The mud room is a foot wider & the pantry is a foot narrower.
This is the 2nd level. The west bedroom (Colby's - the colorful one!) is a foot smaller in width so the bathroom can be a foot wider.
This is the upstairs bathroom flooring. This is the only room it is in. It is a tile laminate.
Here is looking towards the front door - from the back patio door. The wood laminate goes all the way from the front door & curves around thru part of the family room, to the back patio door & into the dining room & kitchen. This way you can walk from any door to all the others without walking on carpet.
This is part of the mud room/laundry room. To the left of this shot is the washer & dryer area. This is the flooring that is in this room, the pantry & the main floor bathroom right off the dining room.
Here is a shot of the dining room & kitchen. I cleaned the floors off a little bit, but they need a good cleaning cause of all the sawing, sanding, etc. that is being done - everything is very dusty in there! Just that little area between the island & the sink area needs done yet, then all the hard flooring will be done. The floor guys will be back tomorrow I believe to finish that & get the pad put down for the carpets. They may wait to lay the carpets till I get all the windows stained though for my convenience. The plumbers still have to come back too & it may be better not to have all the carpets laid while we still have workmen going thru the house. So we'll see how this all works out!
OK, Cass was home & we decided to cover my gray... then we went dark with the colors & liked the colors so decided not to add any blonde for now! So this morning I was really blonde & this afternoon I am a brunette!!! I look like my little sister now! Fun!
Here is Tucker with the 13&1/2 X 13&1/2 antelope that he got this afternoon. It's base is 6&1/2.
This is the 1st time he has filled his double tag - usually doesn't get the doe, but did today, about an hour after the buck - so it was a good hunt for him! Good thing, as the season ends tonight I believe!
Looky Here!!!!!!!!! This is what I walked into my house & saw on Friday morning! When I had to quit on Thursday to leave for volleyball Mel had the base cabinets almost in - but he got them all in place & hung yet Thursday afternoon before left! What a wonderful surprise for me on Friday morning!!!
The cabinets were made by Don's Custom Cabinets out of Rapid City & they seem to have done a wonderful job! We are very happy with the finished project! This is the view from the dining room - looking southeast. The big hole is of course where the frig will go - that littler hole is for my new dishwasher! I've never had one of those before so it will be great!!!
Here you can see the sinks - they are under mounted corion (sp?) sinks, which I think I will love! This shot is taken from by the stove & looking south. The cabinets are oak & stained an Early American color - just like all my trim & doors.
This is a shot of the north wall where the stove will go with the microwave above it on the wall. To the stove's left is a cupboard with pull-out shelves for the pots & pans - to the right is the tall thin cookie sheet cupboard.
Each of the base corner cupboards have the lazy susans in them. The bottom shelf of the 2 corner upper cupboards also have one. Right to the right of the sink is a double garbage pull-out cupboard.
This is my small pantry right in the kitchen - right to the left of the frig. The bottom 2/3 of it has pull-out shelves & the top few are stationary.
I have a garage in one corner - probably should have had one made for each corner with all my stuff!!!
And this is our island - it has drawers on the side facing the sink & cupboards on the south & west sides. The center is cupboard height & in an "L" shape on top is a raised section. I really like the island too. In fact, I just LOVE my whole new kitchen!!!! FUN, FUN, FUN!!!
Today was the opening day of pheasant season & the Smiths hosted our annual hunting party for the Oliviers & a few others & from the stories I hear tell, a good day was had by all!!! I was actually at a volleyball tourney at Douglas High School all day with Colby so I missed out till the cleaning of the birds was finished - but I got to share in the evening of story telling! (Colby's volleyball team played very well, by the way & got 2nd place to Douglas. Those games were 24-26 & 29-31 so we played very tough!) In the picture are the relatives & friends that shared in the hunt.
Tucker's dog 'Buddy' was a good bird dog & posed here with all he had helped the guys to bag during the day!!!

This is about when Colby & I pulled back into the yard - what a beautiful sunset to end the great day! Like I said, I wasn't able to be here so Mom did the day's photography! Great job Donna!!! She captured some great shots! Chancie & she did the feeding of the masses too while I was gone - thank you ladies for a great job!
On this cold - windy - damp, Sunday afternoon, after Colby & I got home from church & she had All-State Chorus practice - we started painting her bedroom. Her Dad was not too sure about all the color she had planned for her walls - but as the afternoon progressed she proved that her ideas turned out pretty cute! Very much a teen-age room! She had to sign the wall before she painted it over - but says she will always know it has her name under the paint!
Josie came over when we were about done to see the finished product so she & Colby 'ta-dah'd' the walls! We still have to paint the white in the white stripe, but you get the picture here anyway!

This is the parlor room right off the entryway in the front - that is one of the archways on the right & it opens to the entryway & stairway.
This is our master bedroom - most of the walls are called 'Earthy Merlot' (very pretty color!) & then the north wall is a grayish green color - quite pretty together in real life! I still have to trim up next to the ceiling on the green wall, but all the other walls in there are done.

They have the windows all covered good with plastic & see all those 5 gallon buckets that the mud was in? Kieth says that is what he is most excited about! Getting all those buckets! And I love my arches!

Kieth & I got to go to Aberdeen & watch NSU's Homecoming football game yesterday & it was awesome! Northern won their 1st game of this season with a 35-0 score! Lincoln played the most he has yet, with some in the first quarter & the whole 2nd half of the game defense! So of course I took lots of pics! Here are a few!!! His official stats list 2 solo tackles & 1 quarterback sack! Not too bad!!!
This is how the team runs onto the field - if you look close you can see #57 jumping up to towards the banner - it was very windy during this game so the banner was flying pretty straight out.

That other team had some BIG boys that Lincoln had to be up against! We always thought he was pretty good sized - but that was in high school - college boys are a little bigger!!!
