Looking More Like a Home Everyday!

Here is a small sample of the nice texture that is on the walls & ceilings!
They have the windows all covered good with plastic & see all those 5 gallon buckets that the mud was in? Kieth says that is what he is most excited about! Getting all those buckets! And I love my arches!
This is my work area and my big pretty doors!

MY, oh my!!!! What a hectic week it has been already around this place!

I hadn't even been over to the house with my camera until 11:00 PM last night! I had been over there alot with a varnish & stain brush though!

I'll give you somewhat of an update on progress... I believe it was Monday & Tuesday that Mel put the texture on the whole house - it looks very nice - he did a great job!!!

Then yesterday he sprayed the whole place with the primer & by the afternoon he was able to spray all the ceilings their paint color! I just chose to paint all the ceilings the same color - cocoa creamy - to simplify things - BUT the walls will be another story! I have many colors picked for the walls!!! I actually have the 25 gallons of colored paint sitting in my hallway as of last night! That was a huge relief to have that all decided - now it will all be ok! (I do hope it all comes together as I have thought it will!!!) n Mel says we will try spraying the walls too & then I will do the trim areas with a brush - I think we may start that today!!! How exciting!

I have been down in the basement again so far this week - working on doors - out of 20 doors all together, I have 12 of them completely done - with their stain & 2 coats of varnish - then I have 2 more stained. So that leaves 6 more to do everything to. I think our stairway wood - all the railing, spindles, etc. will be here in the next day or 2 also - that also is coming unfinished ...)
I better get to work now!
