NORTHERN WINS THE HOMECOMING GAME!

Kieth & I got to go to Aberdeen & watch NSU's Homecoming football game yesterday & it was awesome! Northern won their 1st game of this season with a 35-0 score! Lincoln played the most he has yet, with some in the first quarter & the whole 2nd half of the game defense! So of course I took lots of pics! Here are a few!!! His official stats list 2 solo tackles & 1 quarterback sack! Not too bad!!!
This is how the team runs onto the field - if you look close you can see #57 jumping up to towards the banner - it was very windy during this game so the banner was flying pretty straight out.
Here is Lincoln (#57) up against a rather large opponent!
Here is a tackle that Lincoln got - even announced his name over the loud speaker - he is the red one on the bottom left there!
Hey! We got the ball back from the opponent!!!
How about another tackle that he was in on?!?
#36 tries to stop him, but he has his eyes on the ball carrier, so says, you just let go here!
And off he goes towards more action!
#57 gets a quarterback SACK!!! How exciting!!!
That other team had some BIG boys that Lincoln had to be up against! We always thought he was pretty good sized - but that was in high school - college boys are a little bigger!!!
It sprinkled on us for 3/4 of the game but it really didn't even bother us cause we were enjoying it so much!
We took Bob & Jodi with us & we met up with Lincoln's roommate's parents (the Maples) to tailgate before the game - (after we went to the 2 hour NSU parade in the morning that was very good! And that was after going to the Scotties football game in White River on Friday night & then driving to Aberdeen after that got over - arriving at 3:00 AM!) - took Lincoln & Jordan out for supper after the game & then spent the evening with the Maples & Bob & Jodi. It was just an AWESOME weekend!
Colby's volleyball team went to Dupree & won all their games also on Saturday - so it was good for everybody! And now it's good to be home too! Hope you all had a good weekend too!
