Lincoln - a Starter for NSU Football Game in Marshall, MN!!!

On Saturday, November 1st NSU played football at Marshall, MN. This happened to be the same day that Colby was singing in All State Chorus in Sioux Falls. So Kieth & I went to Sioux Falls Friday night & spent the night with Cass & Luke - then Sat. we went to Marshall for the 1:00PM game. It turned out to be another heartbreaker at 32-39... We were ahead 32-31 with 1:35 remaining in the game...
Lincoln had a HUGE turnout of family there to watch the game! Cass & Luke went with Kieth & me, and then Steve, Molly & the 3 kids drove over to watch also! How FUN!!! It was a fantastic day for a football game! Gorgeous out!

Lincoln was actually a STARTER on Saturday! Just think, at the start of the season he was a 'Red Shirt' & now he was a starter! Not bad for a true freshman huh?!? Here is he getting a tackle.

It's so fun to have the games in the afternoon so I can get some really good action shots! Especially when he gets in on several tackles! Lincoln got 3 solo tackles & 1 assist in the official stats of the game.

This big guy was sure trying to push him around!

Now this guy this week he was up against was only 306 pounds!!!

Here we are after the game - all of us in the Smith family that were present.

And here is Lincoln with the Olivier family that shared the day with us! Thanks so much guys for coming to the game! It was great to have you there!
Next week is their last game of the season - it is in Aberdeen - against Augustana. We plan to go to that one too.

Looks like so much fun, and a beautiful day for watching football! It's great that Steve's family was there too. It's great that Lincoln is getting so much playing time--as a freshman no less. Good for him!
