Outside Lights

Yesterday Kevin (electrician) got 4 of the 6 outdoor wall sconces put on the house. These are the 2 on the back side of the house. There will be a wall pack above the bay window that will be switched separately & will shine farther out into the backyard. The holes you see in the siding below the lights will be electrical outlets.
Here are the lights on both sides of the garage door. These will be motion sensored lights. Above the door you can see the box area for the motion sensor & then above that you can see wires where there will be another wall pack that will switched on to illuminate the area east & some south of the house - where the parking will be.
This is a close up of the outdoor wall sconces that Colby helped me to pick out. We think we did a good job cause we really like them! We ended up getting them at Menards - all the other lighting we ordered from BES. I compared the lights at the 2 places & found that BES was very comparable in price to Menards & they are very knowledgeable people there to help you with all your questions about lighting! (Which, of course, I had a few!!!) The 2 that aren't up yet go on either side of the front door. I think Kevin just worked a little extra long yesterday getting some of them up so I could see what they looked like on the house!

I think I heard that Mel may be picking up the pillars this weekend so then they can get them put in & the porch soffit put up, etc. I will still have to paint the pillars, but I guess that will be done when they are planted. I'm hoping to paint them to look like marble ... we'll see how that goes! The sheet-rock is also ready to be delivered - so they can get started on those things next week. They are taking today off to do some other things, so this is where we are for the weekend!
